Pros

They have a very extensive and well-managed internship program for college students with amazing benefits, higher than average pay and a lot of responsibility. Everyone treats you as if you are a part of the company (not a lowly intern), the projects are fulfilling and you get the chance to network with some high-level executives. I would recommend this to everyone! Interview process is long and difficult, but well worth it. This company has great integrity.

Cons

Entry-level work is fairly limited to Claim's Representative or Underwriter. They have a policy of starting you of on this side of the company, and then you can switch to Human Resources, PR etc. This is okay, but I would like to go into a different segment. Also, they tell you that you will be required to move around a lot to be promoted within the company.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
