A gem of an agency - Senior Manager Startr Co. Employee Review

Startr Co. gives great work life balance, a lot of trust and task autonomy, great clients and a group of great people. They approach PR carefully and really value their media relationships.

Not many! I worked mostly remotely, which can sometimes be challenging for smaller organizations like Startr Co.

I have over 5+ years of PR experience and Startr Co. is in my top two favorite agencies I’ve worked at. I’ve grown from a media relations lead to now a manager and have learned so much and continue to do so everyday. Company culture is top notch and everyone on the team is so collaborative and supportive. Management is also very invested in everyone’s professional growth which is very important to me. I also appreciate that the agency encourages work/life balance. We spend more than half of our week working, so it’s important to me that I enjoy what I do and the people I work with so I’m SO happy I get that working at Startr Co.

This isn’t necessarily a con about the agency, but the PR landscape has changed so much in the past 5+ years that an agency like Startr Co. has had to navigate. A lot more is expected on the client side. Like with all PR jobs, you have to be able to work in a fast paced environment and manage client expectations, all while producing exceptional results. This job does require people to be confident, up for challenges, and willing to rise to the occasion.
