Pros
Starcity has a noble and meaningful mission: "to make great cities accessible to everyone." Every day, I witnessed the passion for this mission - one that fuels and guides the company into innovative, uncharted territory. If you are interested in being a part of a mission greater than yourself and doing something that's never been done before, then Starcity is the place for you. In addition to the mission, the company culture the founders have cultivated is one that exudes a tight-knit positive environment with open communication that both empowers team members to own their roles and makes them feel comfortable enough to ask for help. I was fortunate enough to work directly with many different teams throughout the company - leadership, capital markets, investor relations, marketing, accounting, engineering, and the community team. Collaboration came easy and everyone was always willing to venture out of their comfort zone to help each other out. Open communication allowed everyone's voice to be heard. I'm happy to say that I'm still close to the founders and teammates at Starcity and feel comfortable to turn to them for help and advice.
Cons
No cons but it is important to have perspective. Starcity is a rapidly growing startup that is seeking to bring changes to an old established industry. Just as most rewarding experiences are, it comes with hard work. People working at Starcity are able to problem solve on their feet, pivot quickly, wear different hats, and roll up their sleeves to get the job done. The great thing about this is the founders set a great example in doing these things and encourage team members to do the same.
