Pros
I got this as my first job during high school. The benefits eligibility is really good - you only need to work an average of a certain amount of hours (which was 20h/week while I worked there), as opposed to other places of work where you needed to be full-time or salary. I found my store to be extremely welcoming, even when management would switch.
Cons
As an employee you must have at least 18 hours of availability and 12 hours of scheduled shifts each week. For people looking for casual part-time work, it might be an inconvenience. Your manager will do their best to accommodate your availability and exactly how many hours you want to work, however it's subject to change to store needs. For example, I asked for 15 hrs/week but often found myself working ~25 hrs/week during back to school season since many employees quit or transfer out due to school, plus the typical holidays season. Hours usually get cut around Jan-March.
