Pros
The pay is generous and there is loading and public holiday rates are extremely generous. The employee benefits are also great, a buffet style staff cafeteria, discounts to the restaurants and bars, offers on accommodation and the shows at the theatre and subsidised parking. Also great opportunities for advancement.
Cons
The hours are very bad as the venue is opened 24/7 so staff are sometimes expected to work long hours/double shifts. Rosters are also sometimes badly planned as you may be given a graveyard cycle (e.g. 11pm - 7am) and then a morning shift the next cycle (7am - 3pm) which is hard to adjust to.
