Pros

I had some great co-workers, and the company culture is all about doing things together, making it easy to fit in and socialise. The co-founder who ran my department was super analytical, and I learned a lot from developing those skills. The pace is fast, so when you switch to another company, things suddenly feel much more manageable and slower.

Cons

The company places a heavy emphasis on documentation, requiring everything to be recorded in a specific format and font. Due to the fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while ensuring comprehensive documentation becomes challenging. There's a pervasive culture of opinions, with everyone providing input on your work. Unfortunately, it seems they focus more on critiquing others than on their own tasks. Despite claiming to be open to feedback, it can be demotivating, creating an atmosphere that feels lacking in trust for your expertise. The company lacks a consistent strategy, often following trends from LinkedIn or other founders without a thoughtful approach. Accountability is an issue, as they may blame individuals for failures, even before a project is completed—unfairly assessing success or failure prematurely. Compensation is below average, and career progression opportunities are limited. Promotion and favoritism are noticeable, with a select few receiving preferential treatment. Despite claims of openness and transparency, the company hides information, blatantly lies, and lacks accountability. Given the current decline and layoffs, joining the company poses a significant risk.

Pros

1) People are super nice. Culture is super nice. Leadership puts super high importance on this, and it shows. 2) Don't expect you to work outside normal working hours (not many companies in Malaysia / Singapore are like that) 3) You will learn A LOT here. If you want to grow as a person, this is the place for you. They always mention this in their job postings as well, cause it is true. 4) They support you, give training (not only at the beginning, but throughout esepcially with top leadership being on the ground and hence able to give quick advice or review calls to analyse what's going well and bad). 5) To add on to me saying they give support, they flew me down to Singapore once a month, paid for my hotel, and paid for my food. Maybe some MNCs do this, but I don't see many startups doing this. Was quite cool flying down to spore once a month. 6) it opened my eyes to how 'proper' startups are run. Normally, startups are run in a very disorganised way. Not here - things are organised, tools are used to automate stuff and yeah there are processes for many things. Big eye opener. 7) Most of all, I had great banter with the peeps there

Cons

1) This is not a con but more of a reality check. You will be pushed if you join. So, if you want a chill job, this is not the place for you. People who just want a paycheck and a chill job will not enjoy it here. If you want to grow, this is the place for you. 2) It is not an 'easy' sale, and the customer avatar is very specific. So, don't expect to come in and be Jordan Belfort and start closing deals. Don't worry, leadership knows it too, and hence commissions are HIGH. And if you can close deals here, you'll be able to close deals anywhere.. but yeah letting you know, it's not an 'easy' sale.
