Pros
1. Decent projects in terms of size and complexity. 2. Your manager i.e. the founder will try his best to accomodate any special requests you have ex. new equipment, changes to the office, switching between projects, etc. 3. The founder is a techie so explaining things to him is easier. 4. They don't treat their clients like gods. 5. Hikes are pretty good if you are an above average performer. 6. You feel you are working in a safe and fair environment. 7. Collaborative learning is encouraged.
Cons
1. No special incentives or bonuses whatsoever. At least not for everyone. The top performer (yes, singular) gets a bonus. 2. Lots of stupid rules about timings, calls, daily updates etc. They are ready to mark a leave without pay the moment you disappoint them. 3. They don't pay you for any overtime. If you can't finish a project in its timeline, it's your fault and you need to make up for it no matter how many hours or days it takes. 4. Also, you might be asked to stay in the office late (till 10-11 PM). Even women. Not too often though. 5. Hikes are good like mentioned above but starting salary is pretty crap for all experience levels as far as I know. 6. They don't like to spend money, as you might have guessed by now. Trips, parties, work laptops are all a sham and bare minimum is spent on them. 7. It's NOISY. People will be pinging you and calling you whenever they please. 8. Growth is limited after you have already worked for 1-2 years. Also, you don't get any special treatment or additional incentives as a senior. At least not anything noteworthy. 9. They expect you to work 9-10 hours a day which is pretty much equal to a 6 days week.
