Unfortunately, I didn't find any significant pros during my time at Square Yards. Everyday is a struggle.
Cons
Work timings: Employees are required to sign in at 9:30 AM and stay until 7:15 or 7:30 PM, which is excessive and concerning. High work pressure: The daily targets and expectations set by the management were unrealistic. We were expected to achieve one site visit per day and some days more, which is very impractical given the high ticket size of the properties. I have felt the Managers are literally dumb at times. Disrespectful treatment: Managers look down on employees and use unprofessional tone. They should take on the leads and calls themselves to demonstrate their skills before criticizing others. I BET on this. They cannot. (Directed at T2 and T3 managers) Poor lead quality: The leads provided were often unsuitable, including contacts such as auto drivers and street vendors, leading to frustration and unproductive calls. But yes! we do get good leads but happens rarely. Unprofessional management behavior: The T3 managers were excessively rude and unsupportive, focusing only on numbers without considering the challenges faced by the employees. Sometimes even the numbers won't satisfy them. Excessive monitoring: Managers constantly monitored our performance through Excel sheets, tracking talk time and call targets, adding to the stress and pressure. High attrition rate: The stressful work environment and unfair practices contribute to a high turnover rate among employees. Unfair salary practices: Despite having relevant qualifications, my salary was significantly lower compared to colleagues with lesser education but little experience. This discrepancy felt unethical and demotivating. No holidays during weekends: While it is understood that real estate can require weekend work, the lack of any holidays is detrimental to work-life balance.
