Pros
If you're an MBA, and know what it takes to get into a top program, working with SOP / Kathryn is the perfect way to put that knowledge in practice and help others get into their dream schools. The dedication and effort that Kathryn and the team put into EVERY client / application is simply unmatched - which reflects well on the level of support / guidance you receive as an advisor. There is a good balance between autonomy and the review process. The tech platform is ever improving, which also makes the job easier.
Cons
The work can be challenging sometimes, especially during 'hot' application season, as clients typically misjudge their time availability / ability to write essays. However, with a bit of planning and leveraging the support of Leadership, things can be easily managed. I've done this for many years, and never had any issue. Communication with Leadership is straightforward and to-the-point, which I personally enjoy and is very efficient given the nature of the job.
