Pros

There aren't really any Pros I can think of. They are a family owned business if you see that as a positive.

Cons

They steal software to make a profit. They lie to their employees and promise benefits that are never actually fulfilled. They often pay late and when questioned they say its no big deal when they move the payday around. They do not communicate when pay is late and are often hard to track down until they get the pay checks out. This was brought up several times and they were offended that the employees know they are scared to show their face when they couldn't pay us. They use people until the employees can't take it anymore. They claim they don't take a paycheck as if that is somehow an excuse for the way they treat their employees. They obviously pay for their BMWs, classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles with the company accounts. The owners said I got a bonus and he was grateful for my hard work - turns out it was an accounting error and they took back the money in the next pay period without any communication. They still owe me well over $2,000 and they owe my old supervisor (Chief Technical Officer) that was fired the same week as me over $8,000. The owners justify unethical business decisions as just the way small businesses are run. They essentially run a Ponzi scheme by continuing to take hundreds of orders while being well over 5,000 orders behind with no funds left and no feasible plan on fulfilling all of the orders. They make the orders for the people that threaten to contact their banks for a refund or sue.

Pros

I've been with the company for a while now, and I've seen it go through both highs and lows. One of the toughest challenges we faced was dealing with a toxic employee in the GIS department. This person consistently came in late, left early, and didn't perform their job adequately. This created a significant amount of extra work for the design/cartography team and is one of the core reason's the company was not able to keep up with the orders. When this employee was called out for their behavior, they became extremely toxic, spreading negativity throughout the team. Management initially gave them a second chance, hoping for improvement, but it only allowed them to further spread their toxicity. Eventually, management recognized the severity of the situation and made the tough but necessary decision to rebuild the GIS team from scratch. This was the best decision, as it allowed us to bring in individuals who align with the company's values and culture. Unfortunately, the former employee didn’t stop there and reached out to new hires, but that has since been dealt with. Overall, I believe the company is now stronger than ever. The commitment to improving the workplace is clear, and I’m proud to be part of a team that values integrity, collaboration, and professional growth. Despite the negative reviews from when the toxic employee was around, the company has taken strong action to rectify the situation and is now on a positive path forward.

Cons

I wish the situation with the toxic employees would have been dealt with sooner.

Pros

A paid 30 minute lunch is literally the only pro I can think of.

Cons

This company runs its employees into the ground. They are extremely scammy in the way that they run their business, and promise customers they are working on their order when in reality it has never even been looked at. The only orders that have been getting worked on for the past 6 months are orders that have disputes or complaints with the BBB. The pay is extremely subpar with no benefits, and far below standard for the field. Management is manipulative. After my old boss that I enjoyed working with was fired for defending our team, they hired no one to fill in his role and avoided discussing the subject for a month. Eventually they just shifted his responsibilities onto the rest of the team with no promotion. I did the job of about 3 people for 16.50 an hour and no benefits. When I asked about a promotion or a raise I was given a 50 cent raise and told that I couldn't be asking for more money because the company was doing bad financially and the owners weren't taking a paycheck. The management is extremely dismissive and has no idea what is going on. They started outsourcing work to India even though they claim to be a small family owned business all made in the USA because they didn't want to pay higher wages.
