Pros
A toy company seems like it would be a fun place to work, meaning other people get excited when you tell them about your job; as time goes on, however, this only makes you more conscious of how truly unhappy it is.
Cons
Like many companies, Spin Master relies on short-term contracts rather than hiring staff full-time and giving people any benefits. The CEOs here seem oblivious to this fact, as seen when the company went public and one declared at a staff meeting that "Everyone gets shares!" Not everyone did get shares, however, just the full-time staff, so it's other ignorant or intentionally hurtful that they would announce this at an all-staff meeting and then repeatedly email everyone to reiterate it. This blind approach to managing their company - ignoring who's doing the work that gets done - with an exclusive focus on corporate goals, means working in overcrowded, inhospitable conditions for long hours and through weekends. And for what?
