Pros

Speed & Function provides good conditions for professional and career growth. Employees get an opportunity to implement interesting large-scale projects for companies throughout the US and the world. It's nice to realize that the results of your work benefit tens or thousands of people. The company is growing rapidly, so employees have the opportunity for career growth and move quickly into management positions if they’re interested in that. Employees receive excellent experience on a team, as most projects involve several employees. To improve the professional level of employees, the company regularly compensates employees for participation in professional conferences, and many employees receive professional international certificates on S&F’s dime.

Cons

This can’t be attributed to cons, but if you only want to work strictly on technical tasks without getting involved in the business side of things, then it will not be easy for you. S&F requires developers, testers and PMs to delve into business and client interaction and to understand those tasks, helping solve problems in the most elegant way. The basic principle of working in the company isn’t to write a single line of code without understanding the business value for the client.

Pros

The company has a growth mindset and is constantly looking to level-up their employees, processes, and how they engage with clients. The CEO constantly pushes his employees to be better and do better, while being open to feedback himself. The engineering team is top-notch and have both a breadth and depth of knowledge from building apps for startups to Fortune 100 companies. The company offers a lot of opportunity for personal growth beyond one's immediate role if you are open to it. The systems and processes that have been put in place to facilitate collaboration is very impressive which helps with the coordination of efforts of a distributed team across multiple offices throughout Europe.

Cons

The one challenge I have experienced is that individuals have a difficult time thinking critically in certain situations. This is the flip-side of having too many systems and processes is the fact that individuals can rely on them too much and forget to think critically. This results in misalignment and an inability to deal with issues that arise unexpectedly.
