Cons
I really miss Time Warner Cable. I hate this company, they have taken over for over a year now and there is literally not one change that I can say is positive. I started as a field tech for time warner cable and worked my butt of and was making 7 dollars more within a year and half by taking courses. Charter comes in and completely removes that system and instead of topping it at 20.30 after all the courses you get a whopping 18.00 . Their policy changes in routing for field techs was disasterous to say the least you had techs from the south side passing techs from the north side all the time. This led to extremely late jobs i.e. Going to a customers house at 6 pm and their appointment was at 2. Management would close the pool so jobs just kept getting scheduled. This meant that techs now had to stay late after an already ten hour shift. So leaving he house before 7 am to make it at the first job at 8 and staying till 9 or 10 at night. This led to a mass in techs transferring or outright quitting the job. Instead of learning after shooting themselves in the foot as soon as the routers from San Antonio started to get he hang of it after a year they switched it to Dallas and said look we still have one foot to shoot! Their solution to a short supply of techs is not to look at why techs are leaving and fix it. It's to emolument mandatory overtime so now they are working 13-16 hours a day plus having to work on their days off. I transferred at this point to a no overtime desk job doing tech support. This department is awesome great management that we're with Time Warner. With the strict authoritarian could care less about employees morale direction charter directive it has become very strict. Bringing in more authoritative supervisors and now implementing "training" that will allow us to do sales job as well with no extra pay. After watching the destruction of one department by this company it deeply saddens me to have to watch it again.
