Pros
The company values their employees and it shows in the way they honor them. Whether that be by offering 5 weeks vacation, plus an additional 40 hours for volunteer work, creating a wellness program, or listening and taking in to account the employees ideas and critics, to encouraging every one to be exactly who they are, and even allowing them to express that in offering a casual dress environment. You won't find a elitist attitude or mentality in the upper management here, in fact even the CEO makes himself accessible to anyone for any need. They believe that every employee should be in the best working environment possible that brings out their talents, so they work hard to find that fit. They are willing to take someone with no experience and make them experts. I truly believe that no one here is expendable to the company, that they are willing to work with anyone to ensure they are taken care of, however that looks. You know their care for you extends beyond the walls of this building. The company thanks to the hard work of our CEO and others, has become debt free, so you know that you work for a stable company. There are many more pros, its a great one of a kind company.
Cons
There are not many companies if any, that offer what spectrum does in the spirit of a good work life balance, values driven, and just overall care for their employees. The con here is that many people don't recognize that and tend to look at what they perceive as the negatives and gripe on those. If you are someone who doesn't care for a fun or family like environment then this place is probably not for you. For me the biggest con here is those who seek to bring the negativity into the company where it doesn't belong. The nature of the business can be stressful as you tend to deal with many angry people, so you don't need that from fellow employees as well.
