However, we must address some of your comments that are not entirely factual. It seems you trained with us some time ago, but our courses and programme have evolved and we are proud to have reinvested in our training to ensure we are continuously improving and doing more for the young people we support. Our courses are not 12 weeks, but between 5 and 8 weeks. Our training is also now paid - meaning you are earning a wage from the moment you start training and are being paid until we find you a role (with 97% being assigned to a role before they even complete training!).
It is incredibly rare for us not to find our Spartans a role within 3 months of the completion of their training - but if this is the case, we will allow you to leave our programme or you can elect to stay with us until we find your role. The three month period is in place to protect you and your options - not to give us a reason to let anybody go. As many businesses were, Covid did impact our job opportunities in early 2020, but we are glad to say that now our Spartans are more in demand than ever! Please note, we only ever run courses when our clients are in need of that particular skill. You correctly said you have to pass all assessments and this is necessary for all successful Spartans. Everyone is assessed to the same degree and we must have these in place to ensure our Spartans can always hit the ground running when placed on site. Our training is intensive, fast-paced and not for everyone. Our assessments mean we can identify people falling behind before they face going on-site and failing or struggling and becoming increasingly unhappy.
There is also an awful lot of investment in technical, practical and pastoral support throughout your 24 months as a Spartan. Our Engagement teams check in with every Spartan at 6 months, 12 , 18 and 24. For the first six months your Account Managers are on-hand 24 hours a day - checking in with you on your first day and week. In addition our technical delivery and HR teams are on-hand if you need any adhoc support - with everything from bespoke one-to-one teaching sessions to get you up to scratch on new tech to pastoral support. In addition, we also have Sparta champions on-site with our larger client deployments and a bustling alumni programme.
