Pros
The people (and interns) that I am surrounded by are without a doubt the smartest people I have been around in my life. We work on ROCKETS! The company provides group housing right next to the beach for all interns. You learn at a crazy rate. You are given real responsibility. The cafeteria has great food. Low prices, big portions. Amazing experience. Your friends will be jealous. Great career opportunities. Future prospective growth. Company shuttle to work. You will be busy. No doubt about it. Take it how you will. I would rather be busy than not. I get in at 7:30, look up from the computer and I say shoot.. its time for lunch already? Then I look up from my computer again and its 6... time to go home. Casual work environment. Changing the world / solar system ;] Amazing Culture. People don't really care how or when you get your work done, as long as you get it done right and on time. Be yourself. Overall I love it here. The pressure is real, but that's a good thing right?
Cons
Work life balance. It isn't as bad as most of the other reviews make it seem. I work 10 hours a day. That is what most interns default to. If you are working in a really important department you might work more, but that needs approval. There is a lot of pressure to figure things out on your own, which is good (spread those wings), but can also hold you back. LA isn't my favorite. Organizational silos, but every company has that. At least you can walk down the aisle and talk to the other party.
