Pros
-Everyone below director works less than 40 hrs at the corporate office. -Before they were an unprofitable company (4 years in the red by millions of dollars) there was a culture that you could retire there by not doing anything. -great work/life balance, depending on manager. -solid adoption of new analytical tools such as tableau
Cons
-Good old boys club, where favoritism is rampant. -Massive layoffs over the past 3 years since old CEO (who was an incompetent jerk) retired. -Executive leadership has mostly been people who have worked at southern states for 30+ years, and worked their way up. Commendable that they made it, but none are leadership material. -Company has consistently been losing money for the past 4 years, and recently had to sell off their most profitable division in order to stay afloat. I hope they make it through, but it doesn't look good.
