Pros

There are no pros except getting paid.

Cons

Well, another RIF has caused 10 more employees to be laid off. The rest of us are stuck with the burden of our workforce going from 100 people to less than 50. Oh, still for reduced pay and hours. One leader is eerily silent, and the other wants you to buy her book on leadership. Leadership?! What a joke. Two days after laying off a large group of people, she heads out of vacation, not to be bothered. You can’t make this up. Our CFO and Director of Marketing are leaving, and our HR Director left two months ago. If that doesn’t tell you something….HR was replaced by a data scientist who has no idea what’s going on. I can only imagine the legality of issues that will arise from this rif. The founders however, did find enough room in the budget to hire a COO, which is a slap in the face to everyone. There isn’t enough money to keep our co-workers, but apparently there was a secret fund for a COO. This company is beyond repair, and I am looking for other opportunities, along with four of my current co-workers. This place will collapse, and soon, and I don’t want to be dragged down with it.

Pros

I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered Sounding Board. The organization's commitment to work-life balance along with emphasis on mental, physical, and emotional well-being is evident, contributing to a workplace culture that is positive, uplifting, and supportive. While the road itself can be tough for a startup, I have confidence in our collective ability to navigate these challenges successfully.

Cons

The unpredictable economy adds hurdles to a growing/scaling startup, making it crucial for us to be flexible and strategic in our decisions. Unfortunately, we had to make the tough decision of layoffs, a necessary but unfortunate part of this process.

Pros

I will admit, the pay is slightly better than the other low-ball platforms out there. That is the ONLY reason I am still here.. The training materials are decent. That’s it. That is the only good thing I have to say.

Cons

The "Algorithm" is a COMPLETE LIE: Do not believe them when they say a computer matches you. It is 100% false! The "matching" is manually overridden to give the best clients to management's friends. It is painfully obvious favoritism. Insulting Tier System: The way they rank coaches is absolutely ridiculous. It has NOTHING to do with your actual experience or results. It is just a self-serving system to keep the "in-crowd" at the top and everyone else at the bottom. I have been here for 5 years and it is offensive! The Roadmap is BROKEN: The "Leadership Roadmap" is a total joke. It doesn't work! It is clunky, confusing, and a complete waste of my time. I am embarrassed to even use it with my clients. Fix it! Fake Dashboards: The data they show us is nonsense. The dashboards are fake and just there to make things look "techy." It is all smoke and mirrors. Zero Real Impact: For all the bragging this company does, the actual impact on leaders is overrated. It’s all about quantity, not quality.
