Pros

1. As Senior software engineer you get freedom to design whole software from scratch. 2. Good Salary

Cons

1. Very long working hours (12 to 14 hours a day) 2. No extra pay on extra working hours or comp-off for working on weekends (They have policy of comp-off on paper that they show during joining procedure, but when you request them, managers will claim, It was your responsibility to complete the task on time, so you are not liable for comp-off for weekend work). 3. Micromanagement - They install a software on your system which track show many hours you work (Interact) with your laptop. According to there stupid logic, you should work at least 8 hours in your system. (This system stops recording time if you leave your system idle for more than 3 minutes). In other words according to this software, they don't consider meetings, design discussion and etc as working hours. 4. There is no EQ or IQ for the needs of employees, clients comes first, I have seen people here forced to work for 18-26 hours in stretch for deadlines. (Believe me it happens here) 5. If you are in a client project and you want leaves, you are supposed to apply for it atleast 5 to 6 months before, other wise till the time it is not an medical or family emergency forget it. In case of sick leaves most of the time you will be working from home.

Pros

Growth - the company has found an area with deep tech where there is a big opportunity to change work experiences for working teams. Everyone is very focused on the business goals to move the company forward. Leadership shares info on how the products / our work is making an impact to customers, and what needs to improve as well. Product and engineering continually trying to improve those areas to benefit the customer experience. 2. Smart people - Soroco definitely has some of the best talent, I work with really smart people and diverse teams, it makes the environment collaborative where learning is a constant.

Cons

Collaborating across time zones can be challenging and leads to long days, but that is expected in a global company that is growing at this fast pace. This is pretty much expected everywhere in organizations globally. The work guidelines allow for comp. offs and flexibility to adjust to varied hours - needs prior discussion and planning with managers though.
