Pros
Great co-workers, fun and exciting product packed with technology
Cons
The previous CEO and CPO severely mismanaged the company, creating a cycle of constant starts, stops, and pauses that led to massive waste and left employees in limbo—only for management to regain direction briefly before repeating the process. They spent an incredible amount of money acquiring a company with a half-baked science project—technology that was only marginally better than existing solutions but cost twice as much to integrate into Sonos products. The lingering threat of layoffs has become a constant, and Sonos is no longer a place for engineers seeking challenging and fulfilling work. With the company fully committed to the JDM model, its once-strong engineering culture has been left behind.
