Pros
* The work and the product truly matters - our product assists in lifesaving rescues and interventions regularly * The team is amazing - I've never worked with a more talented or motivated group of people at any other company. * Leadership truly cares about the team as humans - several times have witnessed them prioritizing people's needs over progress or other goals. * Really hard and really interesting sets of problems to work on - theres very little repetitive boilerplate work to be found here. * Endless flexibility - this team really prizes curiosity and cross-functionality. If you want to learn a new skill or try out a new approach, or build towards changing career tracks, or if you love being a jack of all trades, Somewear is a great place for you.
Cons
* Startup growth pains are real - sometimes find ourselves lacking critical resources at awkward times and having to make workarounds. Not unexpected, but not always fun either. * Rapid growth can leads to a lack of organization across the team and sometimes wires get crossed as a result * Priorities shift with market needs - again not unexpected at an early stage startup but can be a bit disruptive to have to jump from project to project. * Endless flexibility = less definition. This one is a double edged sword for sure. The focus on autonomy and prioritizing low level ownership means we often don't have strong definitions, which can lead to some confusion.
