Could be worse but theres no future - Anonymous employee Solid State Logic Employee Review

Well the trouble with SSL is they never built on their original success and now are woefully uncompetitive. Which makes it rather difficult to work there without wanting to leave since there is no future. Lack of equipment, unrealistic timescales and budgets make for an unpleasant employee experience in the engineering department. Supposedly there was a yearly pay review, well i was never even asked to one. Management are the usual megalomaniac types and fail to reward staff for their hard work, whilst display a lack of faith in your abilities despite successful results. Lack of HR department leaves little options to negate the poor treatment and it seems just a general fact they dont appreciate engineers. Strange really since without them the business would fold, not that it hasnt done that a couple of times already!
