Pros

There's a lot of nice things that Soldo offer/ give to you to make your work environment nice, such as: > WeWork office > Diversity > Management are generally very seasoned and have been round the block > Business solutions work and have an actual impact on companies out there > CEO's Influential

Cons

Sadly, however, it’s not all sunshine and roses. Soldo is extremely toxic. The ship is sinking under the rising tide of nepotism. I'm not going to go into too much detail on the cons, because it's sad to focus on negatives. Soldo don't value their staff as they should with what feels like a bullying culture. No social events, and you really do feel like a number here rather then a name. A lot of scapegoating and this creates a very stressful, prison-like workplace. I think it’s also fair to say that technically I regressed during my time at Soldo Things move painfully slowly. The tasks are generally fairly menial. Most of the cool stuff has already been built. I think, however, I became a lot smarter as to what sort of politics can go on at medium sized organisations. A valuable, yet shocking experience.

Pros

- Some great colleagues. - Competitive salary compared to similar roles in the market. - Strong flexibility and a generally healthy work-life balance. - Good benefits package. - The product is improving.

Cons

- Leadership style varies significantly between teams, creating inconsistency in expectations, feedback, and progression opportunities. - Within the marketing department, there has been a pattern where younger women are less likely to remain long-term or be offered visible opportunities, stretch work, or recognition for strong performance compared with their peers. This trend has continued over time and raises concerns around equity, culture, and consistency of support. - Throughout the company there is a noticeable lack of diversity in general. - Career development pathways are not always transparent, and it can be difficult to understand what is required to progress while others appear to progress more quickly. - The overall strategic direction can feel unclear at times, with priorities shifting frequently and limited communication around long-term plans.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We can see that fairness and consistency are important to you, these principles are also fundamental to how we operate and sit at the core of everything we are building here at Soldo. We are proud of the networks we have and the enthusiasm we experience from people in those networks who want to join Soldo. We always ensure all recruitment decisions are made against clear role requirements, are assessed objectively, and based on skills, experience and capability. It is important for both parties to be clear about what we each offer and if we fit, We do not make appointments on any other basis and never make appointments just because a candidate may already be in the networks we have. Similarly, we are surprised when we see concerns regarding gender and diversity. Soldo is proud to employ colleagues from 25 different nationalities, a diversity that strengthens our culture and underpins our success. On gender representation, we consistently outperform our sector benchmarks. Industry data from EY and Sifted shows that women make up around 28% of the UK FinTech workforce; at Soldo, women represent over 37% of our team. This is even more pronounced at executive level, where 43% of our executive team are women, and this will rise to 57% in March 2026. This compares with a sector average of just 20%. We encourage team members to raise questions or concerns directly so they can be discussed and addressed and we are always very happy to explore ways in which we can improve further in these areas. We wish you the very best of success in the future and thank you for your time spent at Soldo.
