Pros
Social Imprints is a growing company that has the potential to be a market leader for the ever-thriving San Francisco Bay Area. The company has goals to expand. There is room to grow with the company. Kevin McCracken, Co-Owner and COO, represents the true vision of this company, and is respectable.
Cons
Despite great potential, this company has a major roadblock in the form of its other Co-Owner and CEO, Jeff Sheinbein. I noticed that a lot of new positive reviews have been written about the company and its CEO immediately following a string of negative reviews and harsh criticism, and it's clear to see that unethical reviews were posted to this website as a way of mitigating the company's overall review score. The honest review of Social Imprints cannot be written without saying that Jeff is the reason this company has not seen its success already. Jeff is a CEO that focuses on micro management, maintaining control, attendance tracking, destructive criticism and a general lack of respect for his employees. For most departments there are no on-boarding or training programs for new hires. If you don't find your place quickly, co-workers will talk behind you back, the company will turn on you and you will begin to receive write ups as you approach termination. Employee turnover at this company is remarkable across all departments, not just the warehouse. The social mission, as it currently stands, is very broad and its metrics are improved by simply hiring people of color. There are no partnerships with non-profits or other organizations to help usher in "at risk" people as new hires. And there are no support services funded, offered or even promoted within the company for existing "at risk" employees that would find great benefits from these. Healthcare benefits are meek. Profit sharing and other incentives were promised but are nonexistent from what I have seen.
