Pros

SnapApp is a startup, constantly evolving and improving product and process to better address customer needs - coming out of internal change and seeing growth. You need to like solving problems, and working through the grey areas in a fast-paced, customer focused, team environment. CEO and President recognize the needs of the organization and continue to evolve. Bringing in a head of people operations to focus on employee satisfaction and growth, while building out a layer of management and enabling them to use their skills to help drive the business forward and build empowered teams. SnapApp is an organization that cares and that starts at the top. SnapApp has changed a lot in 2016, significantly expanding the team and management to find its stride and enable growth which is continuously picking up.

Cons

Having been in a few startups, realize this is hard and not for everyone. You need to like working in the grey space, the sometimes undefined, be adaptable and able to change, be flexible, let things roll off your back and keep moving forward. Enjoy celebrating wins, but have the drive and self-motivation to keep going. Promotion occurs when it is recognized, deserved, and the opportunity exists, same as anywhere else. Management is clear that there isn't a direct path for all yet as they are still growing and developing those roles and pathways, so don't expect to be the CEO in a year. Attitude and loyalty are noticed, and when the opportunities to promote arise, they do.

Pros

-Fun work environment: The people are hands down the best part about SnapApp. The company is made up of great people from all different backgrounds who manage to work their hardest while also keeping work fun (Think: frequent Nerf gun battles). -Rapidly growing Culture/HR focus: The company nearly doubled in size over the past few months. With that, came a huge improvement on the HR/Culture side of things. Exciting new employee engagement initiatives, events, and policies have sprung up in record time. Summer Fridays (Say “Bye” to the office at 3 pm!), employee recognition awards, and New Hire Scavenger Hunts are just a few of the culture-focused initiatives that have evolved over the past month or two. -Opportunities for Growth: If you want added responsibilities or new professional opportunities within your position, you just have to ask for them. Managers are very willing to work with you to help you build the skills and experiences you want for your long-term career.

Cons

- Lack of Cross-Departmental Community: After moving to a larger (albeit beautiful) office, the sense of company-wide inclusiveness has suffered a bit. With departments now physically separated, it is very difficult for employees to get to know/interact with those who are not on their specific team.
