Pros
I've worked with some of the most passionate and intelligent people at this company. There is a real sense that people deeply care about what they deliver and want to be proud of their work.
Cons
There is no progression path available at this company unless you want to go into management. Opportunities for further qualifications were often promised but never delivered upon. Upper management lack any understanding of what the development function entails and often throws unreasonable deadlines at us after over-promising deliverables. Changes to our ways of working would often come from the top and be forced to be implemented, expecting a major shift in productivity. It very much feels like a pointless feature factory whilst working here. Management have devolved into a massive blame culture, often throwing people under the bus it feels like if things aren't going well instead of working together as a team. The shift to an over-reliance on AI for the development function is concerning.
