i had been working here for less than 2 months and one day i was randomly pulled into a meeting which i thought would just be a regular check in but turned out to be a meeting about terminating my employment due to “poor performance”. completely out of the blue, they provided me no specific feedback, no prior warning, performance improvement plan, opportunity to make improvements, etc. complete lack of transparency. the whole week leading up to the meeting, my manager had been dodging my messages as to deliberately keep me in the dark and apparently informing other employees to not talk to me either. my manager stayed on the call for 5-10 minutes to tell me the news and then abruptly hung up on me mid sentence and let hr finish the call. i’m shocked at the lack of basic empathy and respect. i was hopeful coming to work for this company after talking to many team members who seemed genuinely passionate and happy to be there. but clearly evident through my experience, they. do. not. care. about. you. i quit my old job which i had been at for over 4 years to come work here only to get fired in a month with no explanation or warning and after all feedback that i had been getting was positive. there’s really not much more i need to say to illustrate how unprofessional and disrespectful this company and management is. do not leave a job you love for this company. run
