Pros

The benefits, but that's from Allergan and AbbVie. Allergan and AbbVie is a great place to work.

Cons

SkinMedica, only SkinMedica R&D, is one of the most toxic and abusive place to work in. Favoritism at its best, tattle telling, disrespecting, and worst of all ganging up and bullying and those that did this gets away with it. They are acting nice, acting, but they will quickly point at you if something goes wrong even if it's not your fault. They don't train properly and they don't hold themselves accountable. They will point fingers at you and make you look bad and talk about you behind your back, sometimes indirectly in front of you. If you think working here will make your resume look good then be prepare to endure the toxicity and bullying. Be prepare to being talk down and feeling de-moralize. It's about power trips and insecurities. Also, be prepare to be work to death. Loads and loads of work. It never ends. What's sad is that if you don't deliver then you're not working beyond expectations. One more thing, they are never wrong. One last thing, even though you think you're compensated well, they will make sure you work for that compensation.

Pros

None. I would give SkinMedica a zero. I can't speak for other departments/companies, but avoid R&D SkinMedica at all costs.

Cons

Harassed by the manager and threatened to be fired repeatedly. Come work here if you want to be gaslighted, name called, and looked down on for being a woman instead of a man. I should have known working here was a red flag but was enticed of having a "pharmaceutical" name on my resume. They only hire 20-year-old females in R&D so they can boss you around and throw you under the bus when issues come up. FYI - my experience is from R&D SkinMedica only - not Allergan/Abbvie.
