Pros
Compensation was fair and the benefits were amazing. Not many, other than the benefits. Occasionally the work was interesting, I guess.
Cons
HORRIBLE employee morale, but hidden from management for fear of being fired. Zero - and I mean ZERO - flexibility from management, but employees are expected to work all hours of the day and night when needed. Management doesn't want to hear concerns - ever. They listen, but do nothing about any concerns that are raised. Project management is a joke. Every project I was involved with or heard about had parts missing or poor planning. We were always taking from future projects to back fill missing parts due to project manager ineptitude. Unprofessional Absolutely no work life balance for new people. Apparently, once you're there for many years, some flexibility is given (albeit begrudgingly). No respect shown to employees. Training was basically non-existent. I did most of it on my own and when I questioned management on what to do next (after exhausting whatever I could find), it many times took a long time to get a response.
