Pros
I am the product manager who witnessed Sinclair transitioning into a new era. 4-star rating overall. One star for benefits, better than many others; salary also increases yearly; what else can you expect? One for opportunity, the company is looking at many things, ie entering new markets, They recruit people not only to do the set job, but also encourage them to find and fill the holes. More importantly, they have the patience to grow them (unlike many others). One for culture. Sinclair operates independently, headquarted in Aurora CA. The management knows the formula to success does not reply on parent companies residing elsewhere. I know some mentioned the aftermath of Sinclair being acquired by a Chinese company. To be honest, that's natural for almost all companies after M&A. But the raucous is over, now it's teamwork and respect. It’s truly multi-cultural, something good is forming up. One for stability, there was no layoff as people speculated, instead it’s growing, and management is serious on new hires. Kudos to the management for fighting for made-in Canada. I know many CA companies acquired by companies south of the border downsized/disappeared pretty quickly. But it's not the case here. Also, they don't simply fire people as scapegoats. Teams work together to get kinks out. I would say stability is key to everything, product development, team building, personal growth, top line/bottom line… OK, enough ranting, just thought Sinclair deserves a fair voice from an insider. PS, the social committee is trying to have the events lined up for the summer of reopening, truly looking forward!
Cons
Small company not always has all the resources to do everything.
