Pros
-Great work/life balance -Benefits are great. (ie parties, lunches, etc) -Comfortability/trust to work independently Simplify Home Loans used to be the epitome of places to work. Everyone was cordial, there was plenty of room to grow, and you had a feeling that you were making a difference in your career. I have never been more grateful to have had that EARLY experience with them. The team that I grew to love was there for me through the absolute hardest time in my life. And for that I am extremely grateful. I cannot repay the kindness that was shown my way at that time.
Cons
-No accountability in upper management. Several accusations of Nepotism were made, (on several different occasions) and fault was placed on myself for "spreading rumors." The word "favoritism" was spread because that is what was being seen by everyone, not because I went out of my way to spread it and cause contention. -No organization in communication. Leadership was constantly left out of the loop when big changes were happening, and this often let to chaotic outcomes. -Very "fake" feel regarding relationships with peers and management. Conversations come across as very inauthentic and with ulterior motives. Additionally after being laid off, I came to find that I was being spoken about very poorly by those that I had thought were genuine friends of mine. Saying things along the lines of "she lied about her conversations with management," or "she was always gossiping anyways." -No job security, or respect for work. I put everything I could into this company. I worked extremely hard and more often than not, outside of my job description. But, the moment I showed my frustration and voiced my potential departure, I became a "flight risk" and was included in a massive layoff because "I would have just quit anyways. " Not giving me any choice/voice in the matter. It will become very clear to those at Simplify whom this review is coming from, and I am OK with that. I am speaking up for myself when I didn't have the courage to earlier in my employment. I genuinely feel betrayed and blindsided by the company when all I have ever wanted was to uplift and be a part of their ultimate growth.
