Poor culture and lack of developmet - Developer Silverstripe Employee Review

Work from home flexibility, awesome office vibes with cool snacks and banter, yearly parties and launchpad company celebrations, relaxed office vibe with cool people, average salary but not on the lower end

After a few years of working here, and witnessing the events and office politics and appalling Senior Leadership team which consisted of pathetic people, I have come to realize this company puts profit over people. Last year there was redundancy made to many staff, and again this year they are doing it again. Clearly they aren't doing great in Sales so their desperate move is to lay people off each year to keep the business afloat. People are getting mad. New strategic plan on Revenue but solely focusing on downsizing staff and the business. Cutting costs and not letting new business processes be put to play. Reason why I left was also poor Management- toxic managers that put business and first and people second. Will never work here again if I could. Learning lesson on selfish profits and greed. Useless staff who call themselves 'leaders' if they really cared about their people they wouldn't let them go. Growth is inevitable as they won't help you move the ladder due to insecurity and worthless tight budgets.
