Pros

SilverRail respects my personal time and allows me to work from home when I need to, this means that there is harmony in relation to the work/life balance that many employers strive for. The company can change direction quickly to respond to customer needs, some people find this challenging, but I feel that this removes the mundane and gives me new and exciting projects to work on. Overall though I think the best thing about working at SilverRail is the people I work with, there really is a true feeling of collaboration here!

Cons

The fast growing nature of the business means that we are often looking to expand the team by bringing in outside talent, rather than developing our existing employees. This means that whilst new roles are created, there is often limited opportunities for promotion.

Pros

Positive, nurturing environment Flexible schedules Time given to pursue tasks oriented towards career growth, such as learning new stacks Amazing mentorship from senior developers Polite coworkers

Cons

Very bad upper management communication with the tech people. Had to glean the direction of the company from general trends. Had to basically ignore what was being said in presentations. Not the most intellectually challenging role

Pros

SilverRail has all the pieces in place to reach greatness. The past 6 months have attracted leadership additions who are experts in maturing companies and are showing passion for success.. Raw talent at the individual contributor level is abundant and their approach to the market shows a commitment to deliver the best service. There are lots of things for every employee to sink their teeth into, work hard, and see those contributions' impact on SilverRail success. With all the change mistakes are sometimes made but it is impressive how willing management is to admit something wasn't working and try a new approach.

Cons

Lots of changes going on. Change is hard and takes a lot of work. I feel like I am back in an exciting startup working hard to get everything done. It isn't a place to sit in the corner and coast. There is a lot of work to do and some of my peers are uncomfortable with the effort required to succeed but most everyone is on board.
