An awful place to work for - Accountant Silver Levene Employee Review

I've been working in Silver Levene for more than 5 years now. We have been implored by partners to write good reviews. But I'll write an honest one. 1. Heavy work load, low staff capacity. The firm has a high staff turnover rate. Some leave for personal reasons, some are let go, and some leave because they had enough. Frankly, I’m bordering on the latter. There isnt enough hours in the day to complete the workload assigned and there is a lack of initiative shown by the firm to recruit, and when they do, the new employees require training or are away on study leave. There is simply too much work and too little staff to complete the deadlines. Too many people are leaving and I’m afraid this is becoming a trend rather than a transition phase. 2. Low pay Pay offered simply isn’t competitive. Even for practice. 3. Culture There is a strong aggressive approach in the manner instructions are conveyed to staff. At best this reflects weak communication and interpersonal skills, and at worse it can be construed as intimidation or bullying. There is a lack of professional behavior in the company and a lack of respect generally towards each other. This has devolved the office from being a stressful working environment to a hostile one.
