Pros

As a Senior Software Engineer at Siena, I've been given exceptional ownership and autonomy. I was empowered to design and develop an entirely new innovative product from the ground up, which gave me the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the company's direction. During the development process, I conducted research that not only informed the new product but also influenced improvements to Siena's core platform. This level of trust and responsibility is rare, and it's allowed me to grow significantly as an engineer while directly shaping products that matter. If you're someone who thrives on taking initiative and wants to work on cutting-edge AI technology with real impact, Siena provides that environment.

Cons

As with any early-stage startup, role boundaries aren't always clearly defined. You'll often need to wear multiple hats and adapt as priorities shift, which can be challenging if you prefer well-structured responsibilities.

Pros

1. Massive Growth Opportunity – Siena is scaling aggressively, and if you’re ambitious, there’s no ceiling to how much you can learn and contribute. You get to play a critical role in shaping the future of AI in eCommerce. Plenty of upward mobility for career climbers. 2. Ownership & Autonomy – This isn’t a place for passive employees. If you take initiative, you’re given full trust and responsibility to run with big projects. No micromanagement, just high expectations and support. 3. Sharp, Motivated Team – The team is incredibly smart and driven. You’re surrounded by people who want to win, which pushes you to operate at a high level every day. 4. Customer-focused culture – We care about solving real problems for brands. Leadership is laser-focused on delivering value, which makes selling and building here feel purposeful. 5. Enterprise Sales Experience & High-Stakes Deals – If you want exposure to closing large deals and working with enterprise clients, Siena is an incredible place to build that muscle. You’re in the trenches figuring out what works and refining strategies in real time. 6. Innovation - Our product is cutting edge and constantly evolving at the pace of commercial AI development. If you're excited by the potential of AI and you want to work with a legitimate Gen AI application, this is an excellent place for that.

Cons

1. Early-Stage Challenges – As with any high-growth startup, processes are still evolving. If you need everything fully structured and figured out, you might find it frustrating. But if you like solving problems, it’s a great place to be. 2. Fast-Paced & High Expectations – This is not a cushy job. The pace is intense, and the bar for performance is high. If you’re looking for a predictable 9-to-5, this probably isn’t the best fit.

Pros

The technology is very, very cool and the vision for the company is one I haven't haven't see before.

Cons

The co-founders are extremely inexperienced and it shows. There is absolute disorganization with the CEO musing randomly about ideas, not following process and pushing everyone to go fast without realizing the downstream consequences. If you want to work at a company that isn't very stable but has cool tech, this is the place for you.
