Pros
Work/life balance Pay Decent paid time off
Cons
The pros are great on paper, but when coupled with... - Leadership's total inability to communicate - Management's lack of desire to actual manage their employees and support them - A team of directors with seemingly no real understanding of how their respective fields work (you'll need to give 101 education to senior directors regularly, and that's only if they actually give you the time of day, which they won't if you're beneath their level), AND - A shocking amount of egomania across departments without the talent to match ...you'll find yourself banging your head against a wall and eagerly waiting for 5pm to roll around each day. If you're looking for a job where you're constantly begging for information you'll never be given, fighting with colleagues to implement basic processes, and working on a product for which the company has no clear direction (and when they do accidentally stumble upon a direction, it drastically changes within a matter of weeks), feel free to join the team. But if you value career growth, working with a collaborative team, and contributing of a product that customers can value, I suggest you look elsewhere.
