A good job to stay active. - Crew Leader Shine Window Care Employee Review

Pros

Being a crew leader was much the same as being a tech. You arrive a bit earlier to load the trucks and make sure everything is set for all the jobs during the day. You get quite a lot of freedom on the job (driving the truck, listening to music) and management is helpful if there are ever any issues. Keep a positive attitude and this is a great job. Also sometimes customers give tips.

Cons

Customers can be rude, not often but sometimes. The pay setup for Crew Leaders is commission, which is a good setup. But you have to pay out your technicians daily pay from your commission. This keeps the tech and crew lead at odds with each other. If they both get commission, or both get hourly, it would work much better/ease the stress.

Pros

Remote work/ work from home

Cons

Owner offered me a salaried position but was waiting for funds from investors to come through. I was hired under the pretense I would work two months (their busiest season) at an hourly rate that was less than half of my salary and would then receive my full salary and benefits. I repeatedly asked the owner for a contract that he conveniently kept forgetting to send and then when their busy season was over, he sent me an email saying he no longer needed me. Basically, expect to be used. Do not believe any promises. And do not expect to be treated like a valuable member of staff or to be compensated for your work. The owner has no regard for employees or clients, his sole focus is earning money at any expense to the people involved.
