Pros
Management, for the most part, is nice. Depending on your position within the company, you'll be given complete autonomy to do your job, and with little questioning. And, from time to time, the company will have the occasional paid lunch or breakfast.
Cons
Shields, at one time, was at the forefront of the ATM sales and service business. However, after the founder of the company sold the business, it has gone rocketing downhill. The new owner(s) of the company have absolutely zero experience with running this type of business. It's all about numbers, and how cheaply something can be done. The principal of the company comes from a janitorial background, and is trying to turn Shields into a "facilities maintenance" company....something that I hear he is failing spectacularly at. Those of us that have been with the company for five...seven....twenty years, have watched our company retrograde. It's sad, really. This was a place that I enjoyed working at. Now? Not so much. We're forced to lie to customers...to clients...it's embarrassing.
