I learned a ton about investigations that could not have been learned through my formal education. Objectives were clearly laid out and the culture was great. As long as objectives were met, I had had a lot of autonomy, which was a plus.
Cons
Sometimes workflow could be heavier than normal and I would work some OT, but the work is interesting and mgmt usually rewards those who help out more.
Learned a lot, forever grateful for the opportunity
Cons
It really feels like they hired me with the intention of getting rid of me after they had a more manageable caseload. Management never gave me any indication my job was at risk or that I wasn't meeting expectations beyond general feedback you would expect at a new job. I invested heavily in this job (bought equipment, spent personal time training, tinted my windows) , but I do not feel like I was invested in as an employee
