Pros

Amazing group of people to work with. Everyone here is genuinely interested in the success and future of ShareRoot and highly supportive of one another. The product continues to evolve and become better and better and our clients keep coming back for more! On the path to an IPO in Australia, which is super interesting and unique path to fundraising. Dogs in the office nearly every day, cool area in Berkeley and plenty of career growth opportunity.

Cons

The office is not near a BART station.

Pros

Truly passionate, driven and smart people who create and nurture a very special culture: empowering, supportive and fun! No bureaucracy or office politics whatsoever! Our background noise is mostly laughs, singing, dogs running around, cheering every sales and product release... We do stretching exercises, planking, daily mindful quotes and much more.. If you want to learn and grow, innovate, try various roles - this is the place! Our plans are super ambitious, the product is evolving fast and fierce and we are ready for disruptive success! I am so happy to be a part of it!

Cons

Initially I was concerned about my commute, but our carpool from San Francisco turned out to be so convenient and fun (12 minutes to Embarcadero is our record!), that now I have to put this to Pros instead. Besides, we are considering a commute bus from San Francisco when the team grows bigger.

Pros

Great culture with a very supportive environment. When the going gets tough everyone is helpful and always willing to lend a hand. There is a lot of focus on the team collaboration and working together to achieve a common mission; to help brands utilize user generated content safely and effectively. Very positive environment with opportunity for personal/professional growth. The company is about to IPO in Australia so very exciting times over at RootHQ. Oh, and they come up with some pretty awesome nicknames too. There is a great social culture with people regularly taking breaks to shoot hoop or stretch as a group. I have to say I miss the team the most and especially, the guard dog Sesame who rules all.

Cons

Like any startup, your job is never “done” as there is always something to be done. You must be able to wear many hats and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
