Pros

Had the opportunity to work with some of the smartest, most ambitious, and intelligent people around. Both Michelle and John work hard to create a workplace with incredibly diligent people all working towards a common work hard, play hard attitude. Such a great experience and would go back in a heartbeat!

Cons

A very go-go-go environment, as is an agency. But hey, if you can't handle the heat, shake your way on out of the kitchen.

Pros

ShakeWell is small but made up of a very solid team of people. Everyone looks out for one another and are happy to throw in a helping hand when needed. There is also a lot of collaboration between departments, which is great. ShakeWell’s diverse client base makes for interesting and challenging work, providing plenty of opportunities to those looking to expand their skill set. People are empowered and given the tools they need to do their best work. Rarely, if ever, are requests for extra training, tools or software denied. ShakeWell has a great work environment and culture with a “work hard, play hard” mentality. Company wins are shared and celebrated, and individual wins are definitely recognized. There is good work/life balance, and everyone is treated like an adult. There is no clock watching or ridiculous hours. The pay is competitive, and benefits (health/retirement) are similar or better than other companies of its size. The beer and wine fridge and ping pong table are also nice perks!

Cons

The challenges at ShakeWell are similar to those of almost any ad agency, as there are sometimes tight deadlines or hoops to jump through to make the client happy. However, that largely seems to be par for the course in the agency world, and really only problematic for those that aren’t used to that type of environment. That being said, this is not the right place for everyone. It’s a small team and expectations are high, so self-motivated people tend to excel.
