Pros
Pay on time for most part. Don’t micro-manage what you do in the classroom with students.
Cons
Zero team moral. Depressed and some deranged work colleagues. Everyone suspicious of each other so no one hardly talks to each other. Spies galore, if your not a zombie like drone and have any semblance of a personality you will stick out and most of what you do will be reported back to management. Terrible management- stuck in the dark ages with their management style I.e zero transparency, inability to communicate properly, practice favouritism, old and out of touch unfortunately, have no interest in motivating their staff and building a healthy rapport ( very much don’t talk to me unless you really have to kinda vibe ) Bunch of lapdogs working for management all vying for a promotion and will abuse their power to have any hope of achieving that. Ant and cockroach ridden apartments for new teachers ( the ceilings leak and you apartment will get flooded out if it rains! ) Everything on the compound is old and falling apart. Honestly your a westerner with a British / US passport you can do so much better than this, I would suggest you take this role only if your desperate and as soon as you arrive start planning your departure if you actually value your mental health.
