Pros
The individual I work for are fantastic. Some, and I stress some, of the staff are great. I have to mention this at my staff meetings, but getting paid to sit in a hot tub is a huge perk.
Cons
Pay: I have so many friends who tell me im under paid. They are not wrong. There are retail employees that make far me then me. Workplace gossip: go to the regional office and sit there for an hour. There is a fair bit of whining/complaining and nothing being done about it. Lack of follow through: I feel like when Im asking questions to people, i dont get responces or if I do, they are copy paste style responses. Job expectations: I was promoted to do the work of a program supervisor. Not do the nurses job, my bosses job (because they are doing other peoples jobs) and try to train in other supervisors while im swamped with emails "THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE TODAY" Support: There is very little. The people who do offer support are great, but the ones who dont are the ones who would rather whine and complain about things being late instead of seeing why they were late and help make sure its not a deeper issue Training: There is none. I have been asked to train in other PS's because I have had to self teach so much. I feel thats company wide as Upper managment seems to go "deer in headlights" mode when people bring up that they weren't trained. There is no follow up. Do not take this job if you have a persoanl life. Its 24/7 with the turnover rate PLUS the phone calls PLUS the emails PLUS the text messages. I honestly feel like I should be paid every hour im responded to calls and messages.
