Pros

Since I've started working at ServiceTitan, I've seen my own personal goals realized and grown with a team that has admittedly had a decent amount of turnover. I didn't come from a sales background, nor a SaaS company, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Here is what I found: There is a great level of commitment from all parts of the organization - we try out best to support each other. During busy tradeshow seasons, we have Sales and Success, and Support team members handling crowds of contractors (both prospects and customers) together on busy expo center floors. The Marketing department and events teams are always supporting Sales efforts to earn new business, training teams fly out to new enterprise customer locations every week, and you can see our #kudos Slack channel light up with praise for all the hard work and dedication. While the growth has been incredible, it has also been a challenge to manage. We have changed sales approaches, shifted leaders, gained and lost employees, changed our approach a few more times, messed some things up, but learned. The role I was hired of is hard, and there are 20 other young professionals who for many, this is their first or second job out of college. This is a great chance to work what will probably end up being one of the most challenging outbound sales in the SaaS world. The growing pains mean that there is room for improvement, and the leadership team understands at this point that the path to success is going to be from listening to this feedback.

Cons

Get ready to dedicate some of your free time. There is always a work-life balance, but if you are truly bought in to the success of the customers, whether you are in sales or any other department, you might find yourself hopping on a plane more often than you think.

Pros

The benefits are solid, including stock options and unlimited PTO, though I didn't feel especially encouraged to actually use the time off. The C-suite has a clear vision for where the company is headed. Peers are genuinely good to work with, and there's a shared sense that people want to do well and want each other to succeed. It's a growing company, so the stock could carry real value over the long run if that growth holds.

Cons

Leadership at the department level was my main concern. In my experience, the management style made it hard to raise concerns or disagree without it affecting how you were viewed on the team. Direction was often unclear and expectations shifted, which made it difficult to know what success looked like. Over my time here I saw a lot of capable people leave, some by choice and some not, and the turnover lined up with those leadership gaps.
