Pros

ServiceNow has exceeded my expectations at every turn. Our leadership is stellar and we are saying yes to making the world work better. We will be the defining enterprise software company of the 21st century and it is fun to be along for the ride. Our CEO has a clear vision that he communicates effectively to the employees. ServiceNow delivers upon their commitment to employees every day. They hire 9s and 10s so you get to work with other highly motivated, intelligent, and collaborative professions. The company commitment to DEI has afforded me an opportunity to work with a wonderfully diverse team. It would be easy to read this and think that I'm involved in recruiting or similar activities. I'm not. The truth is that there is something uniquely special going on at ServiceNow and that deserves a shout out!

Cons

Working with 9s and 10s means you need to keep up with the pack. It requires exceptional commitment which is a good thing, but sometimes the victim of commitment is your work/life balance.

Pros

Free snacks Leadership opportunities Stable work given current ai market You can get challenging engaging work but it comes at the cost of putting in extra hours Smart and helpful people work here

Cons

Work can a bit boring if not on something cutting edge Dev experience is pretty bad, moving xml files around that contain the actual code, proprietary low/no code platform to build products Full of Indians, diversity is a joke in engineering. It feels like a cost cutting measure more than anything else tbh Very much a checkbox mentality when building products instead of long term thinking with quality and usability Doubts about upper leaderships navigation during rise of ai Pay is nothing near what it should be, especially after stock dropped almost 40% yoy Certain internal processes are difficult for no other reason than we made them like that, lots of reaching out to people for rqts, signoffs, adjustments etc
