Pros

Service Now is a place where you are empowered to make thing happen. I don't have to ask for permission; I am trusted to make most decisions on my own. I am allowed, expected even, to make mistakes. (But not big ones, nor make the same mistake over and over.) That, combined with a refreshing lack of overhead and bureaucracy, make me feel like I can make a difference every day. And the speed the company moves at allows me to see the impact of my actions almost immediately. I have found their base base and benefits to be competitive. And contrary to others reviews I have read, I have gotten well ABOVE my target bonus almost every quarter. But to be clear not everyone does and it certainly not guaranteed. Part of the culture is pay for performance. Do a great job and get a great bonus. Do a poor job and get a poor bonus. I really like this as it helps to ensure that only high performers stay at the company and I enjoy working with the best!

Cons

This probably the toughest job I have ever had. The challenges of maintaining the rocket-ship trajectory growth-rate are ... well... hard and sometimes daunting, to say the least. And the 24x7 world of a SAAS company makes it hard to unplug.

Pros

Free snacks Leadership opportunities Stable work given current ai market You can get challenging engaging work but it comes at the cost of putting in extra hours Smart and helpful people work here

Cons

Work can a bit boring if not on something cutting edge Dev experience is pretty bad, moving xml files around that contain the actual code, proprietary low/no code platform to build products Full of Indians, diversity is a joke in engineering. It feels like a cost cutting measure more than anything else tbh Very much a checkbox mentality when building products instead of long term thinking with quality and usability Doubts about upper leaderships navigation during rise of ai Pay is nothing near what it should be, especially after stock dropped almost 40% yoy Certain internal processes are difficult for no other reason than we made them like that, lots of reaching out to people for rqts, signoffs, adjustments etc
