Pros

The management is super flexible with schedules and commitments. The team is really great super friendly and welcoming. Training is extensive and educational

Cons

The pay is Low compared to Sephoras competitors and the bonus does not make up for it. Working day to day is extremely demanding it feels like working at a fast food restaurant every interaction with a client is timed. I applied with a portfolio and a 3 year background in makeup I did not receive a brush belt for a month. It took me 3 months of working there to get mini makeover trained and I was working at the same pace as people who came from cash. It took me seven months of working there to get CM certified after they pushed it back three times but certified people who were hired the same time as me. Even though as part of my application I had to do a 45 minute look and the senior artist at the time ( who quit due to management constantly disregarding their feedback) Wanted me to be completely certified upon my hiring. Low amount of elevated roles for artistry No tips

Pros

Friendly, knowledgeable, supportive coworkers. Management is generally pretty good. You get to work with all the fun products and learn directly from brand reps. And the customers are there to learn about the products - and you get to talk to them about the best products. If you're excited about Sephora, go apply!

Cons

Hours vary based on the time of the year.
