Pros

Kelowna is beautiful. Was a fairly well equipped shop (minus the fact that they expected their techs to drive 5-10 minutes to a sister shop to perform an alignment with their provided Princess Auto Tools).

Cons

Service management (at the time) was not experienced as a technician. Lacked the understanding of working under flat-rate and severely hurt shop morale. The shop seemed more of a competitive environment than a progressive, professional one with their pooled pay system. It has been common practice for them to have their employees and employee's close network review them online (google, facebook, etc.). I'm sorry, but a salesman should not be talking about how great their purchase experience was as if they were a regular everyday customer. I would not be surprised if the high ratings on Glassdoor are much the same.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your past experience at our company. We’re sorry to hear that you wouldn’t recommend us but we do understand and appreciate your honest remarks. It would appear as though you worked at our Infiniti Nissan location in Kelowna as it was the only service department in our group of six that had utilized a team-based pooled compensation system. We did actually remove the pooled system in 2017 and returned to a traditional flat-rate service department. Based on your comments about the location of the alignment machine, you didn’t get the opportunity to work in our new dealership facility that opened in July of last year. We couldn’t agree more, that having to drive to the Lexus dealership to complete an alignment was an inconvenience and very inefficient. At the time we had completely outgrown our current Infiniti Nissan dealership facility but we are very excited now with the new building and property on Highway 97 North. The new Kelowna Infiniti Nissan is over 47,000 square feet and set on a property three times the size of the previous one on Enterprise Way. We have 16 mechanical work bays including an aligner with all new in-ground lifts and built-in work benches. Our service management team is also new as of last year but brings lots of experience to our Infiniti Nissan dealership. John Hughes, who heads up the team, relocated from our Honda dealership in Penticton and previously had over ten years of Nissan service management experience in the Vancouver area. Thank you as well for your feedback on employee reviews – while we certainly encourage all of our clients and our employees to review their experiences, we would expect our employees to be transparent in their reviews, indicating that they are in fact an active employee of the company. Thank you again for your comments and we hope that you can see we’ve made great strides in creating a better work environment for our employees at this particular dealership.

Pros

I’ve really enjoyed my time with Sentes Automotive so far. From day one I’ve felt supported by both management and my teammates, and it’s clear the company genuinely cares about its people as much as it does its guests. The expectations are high, but they’re matched with the training, tools, and encouragement you need to be successful. Communication is transparent, wins are celebrated, and feedback is welcomed. I feel like my ideas are listened to, and that my work actually makes a difference to the dealership and to our guests. The culture is very team-oriented and guest-focused, and there’s a strong emphasis on doing the right thing, not just the easy thing. There are also good opportunities to grow if you’re willing to put in the effort, whether that’s developing new skills, taking on more responsibility, or working toward future roles within the group. Overall, Sentes is a great place to work if you want to be part of a professional, values-driven team in the automotive industry. I’m proud to be here and happy to recommend it to others.

Cons
