I've held off on sharing my experience with Sendoso after being impacted in one of the later rounds of layoffs last year. However, seeing their hiring efforts ramp up again on LinkedIn, I feel compelled to add my voice to the numerous negative reviews. BELIEVE THEM.
For those early in their careers or struggling in this tough job market, it might be tempting to accept an offer, and I fully support you if that's what you need. However, here are a few words of caution:
They have rehired previously laid-off BDRs, only to let them go again just a month or so later. How does this even happen?
Each round of layoffs offered less and less severance and showed less care or respect. Some impacted employees I know personally have shared stories of gaslighting, bullying, and even threats to stay silent, with the CEO only adding insult to injury. Some of these folks were top performers and survived multiple rounds of layoff and were the people keeping the lights on when Sendoso was at its lowest.
There has been zero accountability for the mistakes that led to these layoffs. The toxic positivity all over LinkedIn from a few select folks (who I don't blame - these individuals are just trying their best with probably no budget and a deep sense of "I might be next"), does not match the actual culture. Again, these people are great and this isn't about them. But don't let them doing their marketing job well disguise the reality of Sendoso. It's not a safe place.
