For a company that says on their website “The senior team place a huge emphasis on staff retention” they have exactly the opposite. I witnessed 8 people leave in as many months, and the majority of the time there’s no plan to cover the lost workforce, and instead stretch the remaining team even further.
The agency (as mentioned in another review) is really good at under-servicing their clients, which is ironic considering how overworked the team is, especially in client services. I’ve seen team members work beyond their hours, even on weekends, some even cancelling holidays, which just isn’t acceptable. Numerous team members have complained of burnout, only for leadership and the CEO to “cut and run” and ignore the issues that are fundamentally destroying the company.
Speaking of leadership, the so-called “CEO” is rarely present, so if you’ve got concerns, you can highlight them to senior leadership, but there’s never any agreement amongst them so nothing ever gets done, or changed. Instead, you get each member of leadership running the business how they choose and in their own image, when it’s not their company. You’re better off keeping your concerns to yourself unfortunately and just keeping your head down.
The CEO is also a clear victim of “shiny object syndrome”, trying to implement things without any thought, like endless sub-brands, products that aren’t deliverable, and so on.
Finally, their sustainability pledges are not worth their weight. Sure, they plant trees, and are a B-Corp, but that doesn’t stop them working with anybody and everybody. For a company that says they want to work with “planet-first” businesses they certainly would work with a lot of businesses that don’t care about that at all.
